CAT ALLEY STREET PRESENTS: SPARK IN THE DARK
A Tribute to David J Haskins, Hosted by Beat Alchemists

Spark in the Dark is a two-floor gala and mini-festival honoring and featuring David J Haskins, founding member of Bauhaus and Love and Rockets, and a defining figure in alternative, post-punk and goth music culture. DJs, live music, and dancing will take place on both floors throughout the evening.
David J headlines with a 2-hour all vinyl set while Love My Robot presents a full immersive multimedia experience combining live instrumentation, electronics, projected visuals, and dancers. Full lineup below.
Guests are free to move between Cat Alley Street and the Catalyst Atrium at any time to experience music, performances, and installations across the venue. Additionally, the Macabre Makers Faire will feature local artisans and vendors.
Drink specials will be available throughout the night. Food will also be available for purchase.
While the musical foundation of the event is rooted in post-punk, alternative, and goth, the evening’s journey extends beyond those boundaries, moving through soul, dub, reggae, psychedelia, trip-hop, new wave, punk, and deeper experimental, obscure, and dark music.
Attendees can expect an immersive celebration of the creative worlds David J helped shape.
