Próxima Parada blends soulful and uplifting melody with hard-hitting rhythm into a sound distinctly their own. They continue to grow and evolve, drawing influence from contemporaries like Vulfpeck and Lake Street Dive, classic artists like Ray Charles and Bob Dylan, as well as jazz, gospel, and the music of West and South Africa.
Following a successful crowd-funding campaign, they released their second full-length album, Big Seven, in 2017. Their first single from the new album, Time In A Circle, won a New Times Music Award for Best R&B/Blues song and currently has over 1,000,000 plays on Spotify alone.
